Her family in 1847 founded the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery located in Erie Pennsylvania. John Martin Magenau Jr. acted as its President and COO until the brewery closed in 1978. Jacobs was a performer since age of eight and was a student at the Saturday class of Pittsburgh Playhouse. Mt. Lebanon High School 2000 Jacobs moved into New York City New York for a place at the Juilliard School where she was an active member of Drama Division's Group 33. She earned her bachelor's degree in 2004.
